The 2021 HiLux SR5 benefits from Toyotas upgraded 2.8L four-cylinder turbo-diesel producing a strong 150kW and 500Nm. Matched to a smooth 6-speed automatic, it delivers excellent low-down torque for loaded driving, overtaking, steep Hinterland roads and long-distance touring.

Whether youre hauling a caravan, boat, camper or substantial work trailer, the SR5 is rated to tow up to an impressive 3,500kg braked. Trailer Sway Control adds extra reassurance, making this HiLux equally capable on the job site or heading away for a big Sunshine Coast weekend.

Selectable high- and low-range four-wheel drive gives the SR5 proper off-road credentials, while a locking rear differential helps maximise traction when surfaces become muddy, loose or uneven. Downhill Assist Control adds even more confidence when tackling steep tracks and challenging terrain.
